Dedicated to the memory of Ron

This page is dedicated to the memory of Ron Boyles. Ron was Brackley born and bred, and well known in the town. Ron sadly passed away on Friday 17th July. He had a cancer diagnosis two years ago and after an initial operation he had recovered well but it returned recently and unfortunately he couldn’t fight it this time. Ron was an honest, hardworking and kind person and has been described as a ‘true gentleman’ by those who knew him. He will be sadly missed by family and his many friends.

You may have worked with him at his business R.W. Boyles Transport Limited, enjoyed a pint with him at the pub or have grown up in Brackley with Ron. Please feel free to share your thoughts and memories of Ron here. We have really enjoyed hearing stories from his friends and reminiscing with them. We have discovered that Ron didn’t enjoy having his photo taken so if you have some snaps of him (or his much loved lorries!) please do share them with us – we would love to see them.

We know that in ordinary times many of you would have attended Ron’s funeral. Unfortunately due to covid, and restrictions on numbers attending, at the moment the funeral will have to be a private ceremony.

We are collecting donations for Cancer Research UK and Katharine House Hospice in memory of Ron. These charities mean a lot to many people and of course are now very close to our hearts.
